Connect a Hostinger Email Address to AI Email Filter

If your website runs on Hostinger, your address on your own domain — [email protected], for example — is usually hosted there too. Connecting it to AI Email Filter takes a few minutes and doesn’t need an app password.

What you need

• A mailbox in Hostinger Email (the one you want filtered)
• The password of that mailbox — not your Hostinger account password
• An AI Email Filter account (sign up free)

Step 1: Find or reset the mailbox password

1. Log in to Hostinger’s hPanel and open Emails.
2. Select your domain, then Email Accounts.
3. Find the address and use the menu next to it to change the password if you don’t know it.

The mailbox password is the one you’d also use in a mail app on your phone.

Step 2: Connect the mailbox

1. Sign in at app.email-filter.ai and add a mailbox.
2. Enter your full address, the mailbox password and the settings below.
3. Connect.

Troubleshooting

• “Invalid credentials”: you probably used your Hostinger login password. Use the password of the mailbox itself.
• Email hosted elsewhere: some Hostinger sites send mail through Google Workspace or another provider. If your domain’s mail isn’t listed under Email Accounts, follow the guide for the provider that hosts it.

Next steps

For a public address that people write to from all kinds of addresses, turn on Check every email individually in the Auto-Processing section of the Rules tab, so every email is judged on its content rather than its sender.
